OorCare Treatment and Payment Terms

Below you can read what you can expect from OorCare and what we ask of you. We deliberately keep it short and easy to understand.

1. Applicability

These terms apply to every appointment and treatment at OorCare and to all related communication. You agree to these terms when you book an appointment.

2. Our services

OorCare exclusively offers earwax removal. We do not carry out any other ear, nose or throat examinations, do not make diagnoses outside that scope and do not treat other ear complaints.

3. Booking an appointment

You can book an appointment online, via WhatsApp or by email at info@oorcare.nl. When booking, we only ask for the details needed to schedule the appointment. WhatsApp and email are intended for appointments and practical questions, not for medical advice or acute complaints.

4. Assessment before the treatment

Before every treatment, the doctor assesses the ear. Based on this, it is discussed whether earwax removal is appropriate in your situation.

5. Information from the patient

We ask you to provide relevant and accurate information, for example about previous ear surgery, a known perforated eardrum, ear pain, discharge or a hearing aid. This information is needed to carry out the treatment responsibly.

6. The treatment

The earwax is removed dry with microsuction, under direct vision. The doctor explains what is happening and you can always indicate during the treatment if anything feels uncomfortable.

7. Not treating, postponing or stopping

The doctor may decide not to carry out the treatment, to postpone it or to stop it partway through if this is not medically appropriate or not responsible, or if continuing is not comfortable. If this happens, we will discuss a sensible next step with you, for example contacting your GP.

8. Result of the treatment

We do our best to remove the earwax as completely as possible. OorCare cannot guarantee that all earwax can be removed completely during one appointment and does not guarantee any particular medical outcome. Complaints may have several causes.

9. Price and payment

A treatment at OorCare costs €65, unless stated otherwise in advance.

The price applies per appointment, whether one or both ears are treated. When booking the appointment, a deposit of €15 is paid. This deposit is part of the total treatment price and is deducted from the final payment.

The remaining amount is paid at the appointment by contactless debit card or a similar payment method. Cash payment is not possible.

If, after assessment, the doctor decides not to treat, what will be charged will be discussed with you.

10. Cancelling or rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts. If you cancel in time, the €15 deposit is refunded.

If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, the €15 deposit is not refunded. The deposit is also not refunded if you do not attend the appointment (no-show).

11. Reimbursement

OorCare cannot promise reimbursement by your health insurer. Whether the treatment is (partly) reimbursed differs per insurer and per policy. It is your own responsibility to check this in advance with your insurer or in your policy conditions.

12. Complaint or comment?

We think it is important that you are satisfied with the care at OorCare. Do you have a complaint or are you unhappy about something? Please contact us first by email, so that we can look for a solution together.

Care at OorCare is provided under the supervision of Earwaxshop and onlinekno-arts.nl. They have a procedure for handling complaints and, if necessary, further handling via a complaints officer and disputes procedure.

For questions or to submit a complaint, please contact us at info@oorcare.nl. We will then help you further with the appropriate procedure.

13. Privacy

How OorCare handles your data is described in the privacy policy. Medical data are recorded in the medical record and are not requested via general contact channels.

14. Liability

OorCare provides care in accordance with the applicable professional standard. The statutory and professional liability of OorCare and of the treating doctor is not excluded or limited. OorCare cannot be held liable for damage that is not attributable to OorCare, for example due to relevant medical information being withheld.

15. Governing law

These terms and the treatment agreement are governed by Dutch law, including the Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act (WGBO) and the Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz).
